Why teach at GCCA?

Gulf Coast Classical Academy emphasizes the cultivation of the whole child—mind, heart, and soul. Success is not measured by test scores (though classically educated students tend to do very well by standardized measures), but by the thriving lives led by students and graduates. GCCA understands that Classical Christian education is an effort by the whole community—parents, teachers, administrators—to lead children towards truth, goodness, and beauty.
Small class sizes allow teachers to know each student and tailor their instruction to both group and individual needs, while having the support of the administration to reach the teacher’s classroom goals and achieve the overall mission and purpose of GCCA. We teach cumulative and challenging subjects in a technology free environment to enable our students to reach their fullest God-given potential. Our teachers are warm, caring, enthusiastic, loving, virtuous, and lead the classroom by cultivating a respectful environment where students are eager to learn.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree, previous teaching experience, support the school’s Statement of Faith (The Nicene Creed), and have a passion for teaching Elementary and Middle School students.

Substitute Teacher
We are continuously accepting applications from qualified candidates to join our Substitute Teacher pool. The position is part-time and as needed. The ideal candidate will have previous teaching experience, support the school’s Statement of Faith (The Nicene Creed), and have a passion for teaching Elementary and Middle School students.
